An AI editor that compressed a 12-step editorial workflow into one conversational interface.
The challenge
ACME Media's editorial team — 200+ writers, editors, and fact-checkers across 14 publications — was juggling a dozen separate tools for a single article: docs, grammar, style, SEO, fact-checking, legal review, internal sign-off. Each handoff dropped context.
Time per article had crept from 4 hours to 13. Two senior editors had left in the same quarter, citing the workflow.
What we built
We built a custom editorial workspace on top of a multi-agent backend. Writers draft directly in the tool; specialised agents (style, fact, SEO, legal) review in parallel and surface their suggestions inline with full citations. Reviewer comments live in the same thread.
The tool integrated with ACME's existing CMS so nothing changed on the publishing side. Roll-out was per-publication, with side-by-side metrics during the first 30 days so editors could trust the numbers.
